The Value of a Nest

More and more, we are bombarded with messaging from media all around us, and it is tempting to keep ourselves tucked away in our own worlds. July is social wellness month, and sadly we forget about the importance of social wellness.

What is Social Wellness?

"Social Wellness Month” highlights the importance of supportive relationships and the impact on one’s overall health. Social connections play a significant role in physical and brain health for people of all ages and can boost your quality of life.

Social wellness is our ability to connect with and relate to others in the world by nurturing ourselves through healthy, supportive relationships with others.

It’s the perfect time to connect with others and gather with friends and family.

3 Social Wellness Tips for Yourself and Others:

1. Relax, unwind and enjoy. Gather with family and friends for a relaxing day on the lake and let the cares of the world go for a little bit.

2. Be intentional. When you are intentional about spending time with friends and loved ones, you will discover that your mental wellness will improve. We encourage you to reach out to family, friends, and loved ones this summer with a phone call, a shopping day to your favorite boutiques, or plan a gathering to enhance healthy relationships.

3. Make Valuable Connections - Connections are valuable. Find a special place to fit in, a special place to belong, a place where you can enjoy time out of the house and in the company of others who care about you. Find a local coffee shop, eatery, or civic organization to plug into. Find your go-to store, your one-stop-shop where they know you by name and always have the brands you love.

At The Crow's Nest, we pride ourselves in building relationships and customer experience. We are more than a hometown brand and more than an amazing shopping experience. We know the importance of being a part of a special community, a place where people know you by name, a place where you are part of a nest, a place you belong.

If you are in Wedowee, stop in for a visit. We would love to get to know you. However, if you aren't able to stop in, visit The Crow's Nest website or follow us on Facebook.

Either way, we would love to get to know you more.
